The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, ’The children are now working as if I did not exist.’ - Maria Montesori

Pocatello Valley Montessori is passionate about Montessori education. Our teachers are educational guides, introducing children to learning opportunities. This approach to education allows children to pursue their passions, at their own level and pace. As children progress, the teachers continue to guide, gently drawing them into new and progressively more challenging learning experiences.

MISS STEPHANIE

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Miss Stephanie joined Pocatello Valley Montessori School (PVMS) in 2017 and has since served the community in many meaningful roles—including parent, toddler assistant, primary assistant, primary lead teacher, and now Executive Director. Her journey with PVMS began when her youngest daughter enrolled as a student, attending from preschool through 3rd grade.

Before becoming part of the PVMS family, Stephanie owned and operated her own preschool for 12 years. Though she brought extensive experience to the classroom, she found that embracing the Montessori philosophy deeply enriched her approach to teaching and child development. Her favorite part of the Montessori method is witnessing children become so immersed in purposeful work that they lose awareness of the teacher's presence—a true reflection of independence and internal motivation.

Stephanie holds a CDA (Child Development Associate) in Early Childhood Education, a Montessori Teaching Certificate, and a Montessori Coaching Certificate. These credentials support her continued dedication to fostering a nurturing, child-centered environment rooted in respect and self-directed learning.

Outside of school, Stephanie finds joy in spending time with her husband and five children. Whether exploring the mountains, quilting, or preparing delicious meals, she brings the same care and passion to her personal life that she brings to her leadership at PVMS.
